All children will have a sense of dignity, experience the simple pleasures of life, and have opportunities for success.
To promote the growth and achievement of children and youth in foster care.
The Katherine John Murphy Foundation awarded C4C a $15,000 grant to support our work for children in foster care. The Murphy Foundation provides grants each year to organizations that give back to the greater Atlanta community. C4C was honored to receive this award again in 2024 to support its Back-to-School campaign.
In 2023, C4C provided backpacks and supplies to 215 children in foster care through a partnership with Georgia’s Division of Children and Family Services (DFCS) Education Programming, Assessment and Consultation (EPAC) section. Building on this work, in 2024 C4C was able to increase its impact and provide backpacks and supplies to 317 children in foster care.
C4C focuses on working with smaller providers with fewer resources to ensure the children in their care can start the school year with confidence. The 30 foster care providers in 2024 included several agencies that provide shelter for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, a home for court awarded male juveniles until they are re-established with their families, and an emergency shelter for adolescent girls.
Our back-to-school program has grown each year, and we look forward to continuing this work in 2025!
Care Solutions Inc. (CSI) staff enjoyed working together to assemble all 317 backpacks!
In 2024, the CSI Employee Giving Program hit the ground running with CSI staff nominating organizations and causes close to their hearts. Staff chose organizations that provide equitable access to healthcare in Atlanta, reduce the impact of food insecurity for individuals and families by providing access to nutritious food choices, and increase college access for young people who have experienced foster care or homelessness.
Between grant funding and donations, CSI staff supported these local causes with more than $31,000. Additionally, more than 25 employees volunteered at various charitable events throughout the year.
We are proud of our staff and their desire to give back to our communities. We can’t wait to expand this impact in 2025!
Each year, DFCS partners with Clark’s Christmas Kids to operate the DFCS Secret Santa campaign, which helps fulfill the wishes of thousands of children in foster care who are away from their families during the holiday season. In the program’s early years, Care Solutions, Inc. (CSI) was one of DFCS’ hands-on partners. We have continued supporting the Secret Santa campaign as well as DFCS and Georgia’s children in foster care ever since.
In 2024, the C4C/CSI Employee Giving program sponsored a company holiday activity where staff participated in a live shopping event. Fifteen staff members and their families shopped for holiday gifts for 50 children in foster care. We are proud to continue to support this campaign every year!
Every time you donate, you make a difference in the lives of children and families in need!
